New Delhi: It is being told that in another incident of cybercrime, a woman living in DLF Phase-5 has been cheated of one lakh rupees. The victim, Madhavi Dutta, reportedly received a message on her phone on January 21 which read: “Hello User, By clicking on this link and entering your PAN card number from mobile number, your HDFC account will be canceled immediately.”

In his police complaint, Dutta claimed that after clicking on the link, he was directed to a website where he was required to enter information. After this an OTP was sent to his mobile phone. According to Gupta’s online complaint, “My account was debited 1 lakh immediately after submitting the OTP.
