son of the late Cyrus Mistry Firoz Mistry (26) and Jahan Mistry (24) have formally joined Shapoorji Palanji (SP) Group and will be guided by top professionals of the group, according to a at Report holding responsible officials close to development. It added that Shapoor, chairman of SP Group and Cyrus’ elder brother, has taken his nephews under his wing to personally advise them.
Cyrus Mistry’s sons will soon be given executive roles, after working for about 18 months across the group’s various businesses and verticals. Firoz and Jahan have studied at Yale and University of Warwick respectively.
Cyrus Mistry was killed in a road accident in Palghar on the afternoon of September 4 when his Mercedes rammed into a divider. The business tycoon, who was the younger son of Indian billionaire and construction magnate late Pallonji Mistry, met with the accident when he was traveling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai.
Cyrus Mistry joined the Shapoorji Palanji Group in 1991 as a director. He was the managing director of Shapoorji Palanji & Company, which is part of the Shapoorji Palanji Group, and also the chairman of Tata Sons and the Tata Group. Mistry is survived by advocate Iqbal Chagla’s daughter Rohika Chagla and two sons.

SP Group’s interests extend to engineering and construction, real estate, consumer goods and solar power under its flagship Afcons, the last two of which it recently exited as part of deleveraging. The Group today employs over 50,000 people in over 50 countries.
From late 2019, the group underwent more management changes, with Shapur’s 26-year-old son Pallon being inducted into the board of the group holding company, while daughter Tanya handling the group’s corporate social responsibility activities.
New Generation has been mandated to help the group companies in digitization and better communication with their shareholders. Pallon is now part of the apex panel that takes long-term, strategic and impactful decisions.
