COVID-19 Update: India recorded 2,380 fresh Covid-19 infections on Sunday. According to the Union Health Ministry data, the number of active cases has come down from 30,041 to 27,212. The Covid-19 tally has risen to 4.49 crore (4,49,69,630). However, the death toll rose to 5,31,659 with the death of 15 people.
As per the data updated at 8 am today, 27,212 active cases comprise 0.06 per cent of the total infections. The ministry said that the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.75 per cent.
The number of people who recovered from the disease increased to 4,44,10,738, while the death rate stood at 1.18 percent.
According to the ministry’s website, 220.66 crore doses of Kovid-19 vaccines have been given under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
