Through the protest, the opposition party aims to highlight the alleged corruption and scams of the BJP government in the state and attract public attention

The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) is preparing to hold protests against the BJP at over 300 places in Bengaluru today.

Targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government led by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai for corruption and other scams in the state, the protest will be held in the presence of top party leaders.

Addressing a press conference at the KPCC office on Sunday, Congress MLA NA Harris said senior party leaders including former chief minister Siddaramaiah, state Congress president DK Shivakumar and Congress MLAs would protest at Trinity Circle on January 23.

“The state government is not ready to answer the allegations of corruption. We have now decided to launch a protest and fight against it. Tomorrow our protest will be held at more than 300 places in Bengaluru,” MLA NA Harris told ANI.

Through the protest, the aim of the opposition party is to highlight the alleged corruption and scams of the BJP government in the state and attract the attention of the people.

A few days later, the Congress alleged that the BJP takes 40 per cent commission from government contractors. The party also alleged that the state government is involved in corruption in recruitment of police, engineers, teachers and many others.
