Congress high command tough on Sidhu: do party work or go, decide in a week; Navjot will withdraw his resignation from the post of Punjab Congress chief

The Congress high command has taken a tough stand on Navjot Sidhu, who resigned from the post of Punjab Congress chief. According to sources, the high command has given Sidhu a week’s time. They have been told whether they should do party work or go out, take a decision. After this the high command can accept the resignation. Seeing this, Sidhu’s attitude has also cooled down and he has become active again. After which the first governor went on a dharna outside the house. After that on Wednesday, Sidhu called a meeting in the capacity of Punjab Congress President.

Today a fury march is being taken out in Zirakpur. This means that Sidhu will continue as the head of Punjab Congress. Sidhu may soon make a formal announcement to withdraw his resignation. Navjot Sidhu suddenly resigned about 10 days ago. He was upset over the appointments made by the newly formed Charanjit Channi government. Attempts were made for reconciliation, but Sidhu still did not agree. After this the Congress high command got angry with him.

Big reasons for the displeasure of the Congress High Command

Sidhu is hanging in the balance due to non-acceptance of demands.

The issues raised by Sidhu are not politically wrong, so stopped in imposing a new head.

According to sources, the Congress high command had made preparations to bring a new chief after seeing Sidhu’s insistence. For this, along with CM Channi, MP Ravneet Bittu and working head Kuljit Nagra were also called to Delhi. There was a preparation to appoint one of the two as the head. However, some senior leaders then advised the high command that the issues being raised by Sidhu were not politically wrong. These cases are related to the sacrilege and drugs of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, on which the entire politics of Punjab has been heated. However, if suddenly DGP Iqbalpreet Sahota and Advocate General APS Deol are removed, then the government will look weak. Especially, the role of Sidhu over the first Scheduled Caste CM of Punjab will become that of Super CM, which will cause political damage. Therefore, the high command has put pressure on Sidhu to back down.

When Rahul Gandhi went to Lakhimpur Kheri in UP, along with Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, he also took Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Channi.

Rahul also hinted that only Channi will run in the government

Rahul Gandhi has also indicated to Sidhu that only CM Charanjit Channi will run in the government. Rahul took Channi with him to Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh. The Congress does not want to fail the stake of becoming the first Scheduled Caste CM of Punjab under any circumstances. That is why Rahul is cashing in on this decision at the national level as well.

Sidhu was dominating through Priyanka

Sidhu wanted to put pressure on the Channi government through Priyanka Gandhi. However, Rahul Gandhi came directly in support of Channi. Sidhu also made quick tweets on Priyanka’s detention in Uttar Pradesh. Despite this, he did not get any support from the high command except Harish Rawat.

Minister Razia’s resignation will also be rejected

MLA Razia Sultana quit the minister in support of Sidhu. Due to the situation created within the Punjab Congress, she would continue as a minister. The government will reject her resignation so that she continues to look after the work of her ministry. CM Charanjit Channi has not taken any decision on his resignation yet.
