Edited Interview:

Q: How is ‘Josh’ on the ground?

Answer: My enthusiasm depends on our workers. See how enthusiastic and happy they are. They want BJP to come again. With the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are sure that BJP will again come to power in Tripura. We have worked hard and people will bless us.

Q: Why would people vote for BJP?

Answer: People will vote for us for development. We’ll be back because of the development. People can see from airport to railway, we have done everything.

Question: Opposition says that law and order is a big issue in Tripura. What do you have to say?

A: Have you seen any violence? I have not seen any broken party office. This is all baseless propaganda of the opposition. The public knows us and will vote for us.

Question: What about the Left-Congress alliance?

A: It’s an unholy alliance. Congress has tortured us for the last 35 years. Why would Congress vote for him? How can they go for an alliance? Congress will support us.

Q: What is your take on Tipra Motha – the regional party led by Royal Heir Pradyot Deb Burma?

Answer: He has no ideology. We wanted an alliance for the welfare of tribal people and Motha doesn’t have that in mind. Whatever happens, there will be no separate Greater Tipperaryland.
