Coaching Center Teachers In Pithoragarh Assault Teen Boy, Give Death Threats

An assault conducted against a teenager in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh has come to light via a viral video. The footage depicts a boy being thrashed by a group of men who, according to the speculations, were his coaching institute teachers. The video showcases men brutally kicking the minor.

After the incident, the minor’s father filed a complaint with the police. The case fell under the authority of the Jajardeval police station area of Pithoragarh. A probe on the matter is underway.

According to the officials, the 16-year-old student was assaulted by two of his teachers, identified as Amit Samant and Shivam Bisht, from his coaching institute, who even gave him death threats.

The police asserted that justice would be served and stringent action against the accused teachers would be taken soon.

This was not the first time that a minor fell prey to a vicious attack. An incident of a similar nature was reported last year as well, where a teenage boy hailing from Maharashtra’s Nagpur was cruelly beaten by seven of his coaching mates in Dehradun. His jaw was broken as a consequence of the attack.

The coaching authorities remained silent following the incident and did not provide the victim with appropriate medical treatment. Thus, the victim’s parents reported the matter to the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) seeking action against the students involved in addition to the authorities of the institution to seek justice.
