CM Channi’s letter to PM Modi: Help farmers in complete loan waiver; Sukhbir said – tomorrow will also ask for a share for cheap electricity

Congress will not leave the issue of farmers in Punjab even after the agrarian reform law is withdrawn. On Tuesday, CM Charanjit Channi also dragged the Center in the loan waiver of farmers. CM has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi. In which farmers have been asked to help in complete loan waiver. The CM said that the Center should take the initiative, then the states will also contribute.

However, this bet of CM Channi did not go down well with the Akali Dal. Akali chief Sukhbir Badal said that even in cheap electricity tomorrow, CM Channi will demand half the money from the central government.

Told CM Channi 25% Chief Minister
Sukhbir Badal said that CM Channi wants the non-Congress government at the Center to fulfill 50% of the Congress’ promise of loan waiver. He said that 25% of Chief Ministers are openly admitting that people can trust their words only halfway during the tenure of 5 months. The next demand of CM Channi will be to give Rs 1.50 in his promise of Rs 3 power unit.

Congress or Center’s promise of loan waiver?
Sukhbir asked whether the Congress or the central government had promised loan waiver to the farmers. He asked whether the Congress manifesto was sponsored by the BJP. Sukhbir said that we know his secret deal but should not be so shameless. He said that Congress is a party of lies. Here CM Channi has accepted 50%.

Fight over farmers vote bank more than good

Political tussle over farmer’s issue is more a vote bank than good. Farmers have dominance in 77 out of 117 Vis seats in Punjab. Notably, the Malwa region with the largest number of seats has the largest number of farmers. Till now the Congress was besieging the Akali Dal and the BJP with the help of agricultural laws. However, now the Center has failed this bet by withdrawing the law. After which the issue of loan waiver is being made. A few days ago, in a meeting with farmer organizations, CM Channi had asked for time to think about it.
