The Congress high command’s concern has increased over the breakdown of the party in Punjab due to the political bets of Captain Amarinder Singh. Punjab CM Charanjit Channi was called to Delhi on Wednesday. Where now he is having a meeting with Rahul Gandhi. The biggest concern of the Congress is the breakdown of the party in Punjab. In this, those issues will also be discussed, due to which Captain Amarinder Singh lost the CM’s chair.

However, more than a month has passed since the Channi government. Still no action has been taken against them. For which Punjab Congress Chief Navjot Sidhu is targeting his own government. In the meeting with Rahul, the issue of appointment of DGP and Advocate General will also come up before Channi. Sidhu is adamant on the demand to remove both.

Rahul met MLAs close to Captain

Rahul Gandhi had earlier held a meeting with the MLAs close to the Captain on Tuesday night. These include Rana Gurmeet Sodhi, Sham Sundar Arora, Balbir Sidhu. After the formation of the new government of these three, the ministers were sacked. The Congress was worried that he might leave the Congress and accompany him in the press conference of Captain. So Rahul assured him of giving him a good place in the party in future.

On Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi held a meeting with Deputy CM Sukhjinder Randhawa. It is believed that Rahul took an update of the action on the issue like sacrilege and drugs from him. Apart from this, Randhawa also objected to the controversy arising in front of Captain’s Pakistani friend Arusa Alam. After the meeting, Randhawa returned but did not say anything clearly about the discussion.

Sidhu raised issues, asked to remove DGP and AG

Navjot Sidhu met Congress high command along with Punjab in-charge Harish Chaudhary for electoral victory in Punjab. During this, Sidhu raised the issue of sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, drugs and non-cancellation of electricity agreements. Sidhu again opposed the appointment of Iqbalpreet Sahota as DGP and APS Deol as Advocate General by the Punjab government. Sidhu said that the government will have to remove the controversial faces by showing a clear policy.
