Zoom launched the Progressive Web app earlier this year in June. PWA works just like an Android app and offers all the features and functions that the Zoom app does on other platforms.

Now, users only have the option of Progressive Web Application (PWA) for Zoom which was launched in June this year for Chromebook users. Progressive Web App functions as a normal app, but the features are distributed over the web browser. A 9to5Google report states that Zoom will now block users from joining meetings from the Zoom Chrome OS app.

According to the report, the native app has also been removed from the Chrome Web Store. It said that when users attempt to join a meeting from Zoom’s Chrome OS extension they are met with a notice saying “The Zoom client must be upgraded to join this meeting”. Chrome OS users can download PWAs from the web or google play store, as per listing Google Play Store, Zoom PWA is facing many problems at the moment. However, Chromebook Users have no other option but to keep using the popular video conferencing software.
