Christmas 2021: TV stars reveal their Santa secrets

As we hear Jingle Bells, we know it’s that time of year where we get to fly to our fantasy land of elves, reindeer, gingerbread houses and everyone’s favorite Santa Claus! This Christmas season, TV stars Shubhangi Atre, Mouli Ganguly, Ankit Bathla, Akanksha Sharma, Kamna Pathak and others revealed their secret wishes for Santa Claus as a child.

Angoori Bhabhi aka Shubhangi Atre of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai shares, “During my school days, a classmate of mine was sharing a story about how Santa Claus came and hung a badminton racket on the Christmas tree, which took its place. But it was. I was very young and believed this to be a true story. Although the Christmas festivities were over, I thought of making a similar wish for Santa as I wanted a tape recorder because I was very fond of music and dancing. I cut a Christmas tree out of paper and painted it green and wrote a tape recorder on it, assuming I would get it from Santa Claus the next day. And it magically happened, and my Santa was none other than my father. My father was my Santa, and keeping the legacy alive, I am my daughter’s Secret Santa every year and get what she wants. I wish my fans a Merry Christmas and urge them too to be a Secret Santa to their loved ones.”

Mouli Ganguly aka Mahasati Anusuya from Bal Shiva said, “As a child, I believed that Santa would come to see everyone’s tree and whoever decorated it best would give them chocolates and gifts. I didn’t have any special desire to make, but I made all efforts to decorate my Christmas tree and make it beautiful. I didn’t get anything for many years, so I thought my Christmas tree was not well decorated. But one Christmas morning, I saw a beautiful frock lying under the tree, and I was overjoyed. Later, I learned that it was not Santa Claus, but that my grandmother had given me a dress to wear to the Christmas party at my school that day. And she was the one who put it there. So I want to relive those innocent days and re-decorate the tree to impress Santa at Christmas.”

Ankit Bathla, Ghar Ek Mandir-Kripa Agrasen Maharaja’s actor, shares, “Christmas is one of my favorite festivals. I used to eagerly wait for this festival and used to prepare all the furnishings in advance. I’ve always had a sweet tooth, and I was crazy for chocolate. Christmas is a chocolate day for me (laughs). I hung little socks around the house, hoping that Santa would come and fill them with chocolates and candy. The next morning, my wishes came true, and this continued for many years until I grew up and realized Santa Claus, but my mother would. I wish you all keep getting sweet surprises like this on Christmas.” Ankit adds, “One of the special things we used to do on Christmas eve is to make a Christmas tree out of peacock feathers that looks beautiful and unique. Was.”

Akansha Sharma from &TV’s Aur Bhai Kya Chala Hai? Says, “As a child, I was obsessed with dolls and soft toys. And every year, I excitedly waited for Christmas to arrive to pick up a new doll or soft toy. I keep telling my friends and family about the doll I’ve been referring to every night to Santa to gift me that day. On Christmas morning, I got the dolls from my parents, and they used to tell me that it was Santa Claus who gave them this doll. The ritual of receiving dolls and soft toys continues on Christmas. It’s just that now I know that Santa never came to deliver that he was always my parent. I wish Christmas will always be special for me and my fans.”
