Chiranjeevi has every reason to be on cloud nine these days. The mega star, as he is popularly called, is the talk of the tinsel town owing to the success of his film Waltair Veeraiyya. Despite mixed reviews, the comedy action entertainer was loved by the audience which collected Rs 200 crore at the box office in 10 days. Chiranjeevi is every bit happy over this achievement and took it as an opportunity to target the websites that were criticizing his film. Some websites gave ratings as low as 2 and as low as 2.25 to Waltair Veeraiah. In a Zoom call with NRI fans, he mocked the websites saying, “2.25 is not a rating for a film. Websites predicted that the film would gross $2.25 million in the United States.” In addition to taunting the websites, he also enjoyed having a heart-to-heart conversation with fans.

Directed by Bobby Kolli, Waltair Veeraiyya stars Chiranjeevi as a fisherman who helps a local police officer nab a notorious drug peddler. This peddler has been shown as someone who has escaped from police custody and fled to Malaysia. The film also stars Ravi Teja in an important role.

Apart from Waltair Veeraiya, Chiranjeevi is gearing up for another much talked about film Bhola Shankar written and directed by Meher Ramesh. Earlier the film was scheduled to release on 14th April but according to the latest update it may get postponed. As per the reports, the filmmaker Meher has not given his approval for some scenes due to which the release date might get shifted from April to May. It may happen that some of the actors have to re-shoot some of their sequences. For those who don’t know, Bhola Shankar is a remake of the 2015 Tamil film Vedalam, starring Ajith, Shruti Haasan and others.

Vedalam tells the story of a brother who loves his sister and sets out to fight against wrongdoers who try to harm her.
