CHENNAI: A mother-daughter duo were injured and hospitalized after falling from a scooter when a robber snatched six of their sovereign gold ornaments Ambathur on Tuesday.
female, tilakavati, 64, from Ambattur, was riding behind with her daughter Sangeeta when the incident happened.
Both went to visit their respective relatives Royapettah and was returning home. when they reached a bridge PattaravakkamTwo bike-borne miscreants chased him for more than a kilometer. Police said the two men came close and ran for the woman’s gold chain.
Sangeeta lost the balance of her vehicle and fell on the road. About ten minutes later, passersby rescued him and took him to the hospital. Tilakvati received injuries on her head and neck, while Sangeeta got bruises all around. on the basis of their complaint Ambattur Estate Police have started searching for chain snatchers. According to the victims, the rider was wearing a helmet, while the person sitting behind covered his face with a mask.
“we are checking CCTV Footage to get the registration number of the vehicle,” said a police officer.
