New Delhi: PAN or Permanent Account Number, which is a ten-digit unique alphanumeric number issued by the Income Tax Department of India, is an identity card issued to most taxpayers. There are two types of PAN card applications: one for Indians and the other for foreign nationals, who are taxed by the agencies of the Government of India. If there is any damage to your PAN card then you can get it updated. But, what if you lost it somewhere? You just need to file an FIR; After that you can proceed with online application for duplicate pan card. Also, PAN card does not have an expiry date.
Simple and easy steps to download your PAN card
first step: Visit the following site https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/requestAndDownloadEPAN.html (Also read: PAN card update: Here’s how to change photo on PAN online
second step: You must have got the acknowledgment number or PAN, select it
third step: Enter your alphanumeric PAN number
Fourth Step: enter your aadhar number
Fifth Step: Enter your date of birth and GSTN number (optional)
Sixth Step: Tick Mark on Aadhaar Acceptance Box
Seventh Step: Fill the captcha to submit your form
After form submission, an OTP is generated on doing so through an acknowledgment number. Thereafter, you can easily download the e-PAN by clicking on ‘Download PDF’. After paying the processing fee, you will be given PAN within 15 days. You can download it thrice without any charge and after that there is a charge of Rs.8.2. When your PAN application is submitted through NSDL e-Governance, your PAN is allotted or changes are confirmed by ITD within the last 30 days.
