Chandrababu Naidu calls Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Reddy a ‘man of destruction’

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday called Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy a “treacher” and a “professional liar” and accused him of ruining the state in an “irreparable” manner. Commenting on the last 32 months of the YSRCP rule in the state, Naidu called Jagan Reddy a “man of destruction” and claimed that his regime led to attacks on constitutional institutions, obstruction of Polavaram, demolition of Amaravati, centralized corruption and poor people. financial burden.

Addressing a press conference, Naidu said the poor section was bearing the brunt of Jagan Reddy’s “reckless” policies, which pushed Andhra Pradesh into a deep debt trap. The educated class and business class may move to other states for opportunities, but poor people will have to live in Andhra Pradesh and pay off the state’s mounting debt due to corrupt governance, he said.

Naidu further said that destruction would be easy but building anything would require a lot of effort. Jagan Reddy organized a conference of district collectors at Praja Vedika and ordered its demolition in the same meeting. It was demolished on 25 June 2019. However, the government has still not been able to remove the debris. Naidu said that the demolished and not cleaned debris of Praja Vedika stood there as a witness to the regressive policies of the Chief Minister.

Naidu, who is the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, insisted that an able administrator would only look for opportunities to create wealth so as to generate income and meet welfare goals in a sustainable manner. But, CM Jagan had crushed Amaravati despite having assets worth Rs 2 lakh crore. Naidu claimed that Rs 10,000 crore had already been spent on the now dilapidated capital buildings due to the atrocious policies of the YCP.

The TDP chief said Amaravati was on the verge of destruction under the Jagan Reddy-led regime. More than 29,000 farmers voluntarily gave 33,000 acres of land with a noble purpose for capital formation for their state. Naidu said intellectuals should debate the issue and analyze the disastrous consequences of the government’s destruction on the future generations of Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu blamed the government’s reverse tendering for the delay in the Polavaram project. Can Jagan Reddy complete it in 2022? Can the government release a white paper on the delay? He had promised to complete the Polavaram project by December 2021 but the DPR was yet to be finalised. The Chief Minister should tell the people why he did not get approval for such an important project even after 32 months.

The TDP chief said Andhra Pradesh will be the only state where contractors are not coming forward to carry out road repair work without advance payment.

Naidu has challenged Jagan Reddy to issue a white paper on how much loan was brought in and how much was spent on the welfare of Andhra Pradesh.
