Following the proposal of the administration, the social organizations have decided to open the Mini Kovid Care Centers by October. Corona cases have started increasing. Lest the situation worsen as before and the infrastructure is not ready. At the same time, in view of the possibilities of third wave, the UT administration had given two options to the organizations, one should close them and vacate the venue. Second, by making security arrangements for the center at your own expense, keep it on standby mode till October, so that if needed, they can be started immediately.

Most vaccinations in the age group of 18 to 44

Vaccination is the most effective weapon in fighting corona infection. Everyone knows this thing now. Because of this, people are showing great interest in vaccination. On Tuesday, 6919 people got the vaccine to avoid corona. The highest enthusiasm is visible in the age group of 18 to 44. In this class, 2224 got the first dose and 3528 got the second dose. This was followed by most of the vaccinations in the age group above 45 years. So far 12 lakh 87 thousand 79 vaccination doses have been administered. The first dose has been given to the eligible population of Chandigarh. Now more number of second doses are being taken. Talking about the last 7 days, an average of 8423 people have got corona vaccines daily.

6 newly infected patients confirmed, 5 healthy, one death

Within the last 24 hours, 6 new patients of corona infection have been confirmed in Chandigarh. On the other hand, after 7 days the infection killed one person. A 74-year-old resident of Sector-48 died during treatment at Fortis Hospital in Mohali. The said elder was already suffering from diabetes and hypertension. Let us inform that so far 819 people have died in the city due to infection. Including newly infected patients, 65201 patients have been confirmed in the city so far. 5 infected patients have recovered after beating Corona. So far 64338 infected patients have defeated Corona in the city. The active cases in the city now stand at 44. In the last 24 hours, samples of 2682 suspected people have been sent for investigation, all of whom have received reports of corona infection.
