Mysore/Chamarajanagar: Two men working at a white stone quarry site in Gundlupet Chamarajanagar The district went missing after landslides occurred at three different places on Friday afternoon.
Three other workers who were injured have been rescued and admitted to the hospital. One of them was rescued by fire and emergency department personnel. He was partially under the rubble. Police said that no casualty has been reported so far.

IGP (Southern Range) Praveen Madhukar Pawar Told TOI: “So far, three have been rescued from the mine site. Three landslides were reported at the site. He has been shifted to the hospital. Doctors have said that the condition of the three rescued personnel is stable and out of danger.
Soon after the incident, the police department, and the fire and emergency field officers rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. “We have sought the services of NDRF team to conduct the search operation,” the IGP said. They are likely to reach the spot by late night, he said.
Police officials said the incident took place when a part of a stone hill collapsed around 12.30 pm, when some people were at work. The mine owner has been arrested.
Chamarajanagar SP TP Shivakumar said that no casualty was reported at the mine site. “Initially, we were told that five people are missing after the landslide. Three of them have been traced, and the whereabouts of the other two are still unknown. Their search is on,” the SP said.
