Chakradharpur: Anara’s guard was injured in connecting the coupling, treatment is going on in Tata – Rail Hunt

Chakradharpur. Anara’s guard Ramashray Ram got seriously injured while connecting the open coupling of goods train between Mahalimorup-Sini station of Railway Division near Sonanala Bridge. The incident happened at 4 o’clock in the morning of Friday, May 20. Goods Guard Ramashray Ram BOBS/IISD of Anara Division was going to Anara with iron ore loaded vehicle from Dangwaposi. The coupling was opened when there was a loud jolt near Sonanala.

The wagons were divided into two pieces. Guard Ramashray Ram got injured in the process of reconnecting the coupling. There was a deep wound in his right hand. It took one hour to bring the injured Ramashray from the accident site to Sini station. During this he had lost a lot of blood. The injured guard was first rushed to the Tatanagar Railway Hospital. From here he was sent to Telco Hospital. In view of the emergency, he was again referred to Tata Main Hospital.

The doctors of Tata Main Hospital have decided to amputate the injured guard’s right hand by surgery. The condition of the guard remains critical. Meanwhile, DTI Officer Imam, Men’s Union leader Balak Das, Sheikh Farid promptly took Ramashray to the hospital. Guard council leader Nityanand Singh also reached TMH as soon as he got the information. Guard Council leader Tapas Chattraj expressed grief over the incident and demanded a high-level inquiry into it.
