Centre Calls Special Parliament Session From This Date, Agenda Still Unknown

New Delhi: The central government on Thursday called a special session of Parliament from September 18 to 22 which will comprise of five sittings.

However, the agenda of the special session if not know.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi has revealed that a “Special Session of Parliament (13th Session of 17th Lok Sabha and 261st Session of Rajya Sabha)” is scheduled from 18th to 22nd September, comprising 5 sittings. Sharing his anticipation for fruitful discussions and debates in the upcoming session, Joshi made the announcement on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter).

He accompanied his statement with an image featuring both the old and new parliament buildings, the latter of which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 28.

It’s worth noting that the monsoon session of parliament concluded recently in the old Parliament building. The announcement of this Special Session took the political circles by surprise, particularly since various parties are gearing up for assembly polls in five states later this year.

Traditionally, the winter session of Parliament starts in the final week of November.
