Taking to Twitter, West Midlands Police wrote, “All emergency services are at the scene of a house explosion on Dulwich Road, Kingstanding, Birmingham. One house has been destroyed and the other has sustained significant damage. Casualties have been reported The evacuation is taking place.”

“All emergency services are working hard but we need your help. Avoid the area. Don’t post images from the scene online – think about the people involved. Follow first responders’ instructions if you live in the area.” Follow up. If you have been evacuated, go to the meeting place immediately.”

Continuing the tweet, the police said it would keep the public updated when they got hard facts to share.

Police shared that emergency personnel are on the ground to deal with the situation.
