Canadian Rapper Drake Says This About ‘The Concept Of Marriage’

Ontario: Canadian rapper and singer Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham shared the reason he hasn’t married anyone yet on The Really Good Podcast with Bobby Althoff, and also called the concept of marriage “ancient”, reports Page Six.

“I don’t know. It sounds like antiquity or something. I think I’ll do it eventually,” he said. “I don’t know, I don’t think I can offer anybody what they’re looking for. Just uniformity. I think my life, my work is my priority,” the five-time Grammy winner said. According to Page Six, when Althoff quipped that Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, continued to “sleep around.” The rapper quickly called it off. The ‘One Dance’ hitmaker said he couldn’t afford “stability” or commitment in a relationship “at this stage” in his life. “I don’t want to get married because I don’t want to let anybody down,” he added.

Drake, who has been linked to several A-list women over the years including Rashida Jones, Tyra Banks, SZA, Julia Fox and Rihanna, said he can’t see himself settling down with a fellow celeb.

He shared, “I probably won’t marry someone famous.” “Famous people aren’t really like that — they just aren’t that interesting,” Page Six reports.
When asked what qualities he was looking for, he replied, “Someone who is a person.”

He explained, “I like someone who can be themselves.” “He is not just like a carbon copy, like a person whom I have seen many times in my entire existence. I like someone with a sense of humor, you know? I like – I don’t know, like, cosplay.’

“What kind of clothes do you want to dress them in?” Althoff asked. “No, I don’t need them” [dress up] – If they’re interested in cosplay I’ll probably have more conversations with them,” he said. “Not with me, of course generally.”

The Grammy winner welcomed his 6-year-old son Adonis in 2017 after secretly fathering a child with French artist and former porn star Sophie Brussaux, 33. Pusha T, who claimed Drake secretly fathered a child with Brussaux, confirmed they have a son in his 2018 album ‘Scorpion’, reports Page Six.
