Campus Placement Drive At Nat’l Sugar Institute From September 8 | Kanpur News – Times of India

Kanpur: First phase of campus placement drive shall commence from September 8 at National Sugar Institute, Kanpur.
As the sugar industry is performing well due to stable sugar prices and additional revenue generation through ethanol, in particular, not only large number of new ethanol units are being set up but sugar factories are also expanding their crushing capacity to divert juice for producing ethanol and not sugar. This along with an aim to produce raw-refined sugar, many sugar factories have undertaken process change, which has created lot of demand for engineers, technologists, quality control and environment chemists. “We are receiving requests from most of the renowned sugar groups of the country and during the first phase itself we are going to organize interviews for DCM Shriram Limited, Renuka Sugars Limited, Balrampur Chini Mills and M/s Dhampur Sugar Mills Limited”, said Narendra Mohan, Director, National Sugar Institute, Kanpur.
We are continuously getting requests from other sugar groups and machinery manufacturers too and will organize the second phase during the first week of October 2022, he added.
To provide better exposure about the recent trends in technology and more on practical aspects of various unit operations, the institute is also organizing ‘Eminent Expert Lecture Series’ in which renowned technical experts working in the industry shall deliver lectures for the benefit of students.
In this series, lecture on ‘Modern techniques of juice clarification and crystallization for making superior quality white sugar at lower cost’ was delivered by GB Yadav, General Manager (Production), Dalmia Bharat Sugar Mills Limited.
