Bypoll results: BJP ahead in UP Lok Sabha seats, AAP behind in Punjab

New Delhi: Counting of votes took place today (June 26) for three Lok Sabha and seven assembly constituencies. The three Lok Sabha seats where by-polls were held included Azamgarh and Rampur in Uttar Pradesh and Sangrur in Punjab, while Tripura, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh and Delhi held assembly bypolls. Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has won by-election from Town Bardowali seat.

AAP holds the Delhi Assembly seat, while candidates of the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) are staring at a landslide victory in the Atmakur assembly bypoll in Andhra Pradesh.

Delhi: Rajinder Nagar assembly by-election result 2022

AAP candidate Durgesh Pathak has trounced BJP’s Rajesh Bhatia, as per Election Commission of India (ECI).

Andhra Pradesh: Atmakuru Assembly bypoll result 2022

Andhra Pradesh’s ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) won a landslide victory in the Atmakur assembly by-election. Mekapati Vikram Reddy of YSRCP has got more than 74% votes and is followed by Bharat Kumar Yadav of BJP.

Jharkhand: Mandar assembly by-election result 2022

As per the current trend, with 37.99% vote share, Congress candidate Shilpi Neha Tirkey is marginally ahead of BJP’s Gangotri Kujur (34.80%).

Tripura assembly by-election result 2022

BJP has won three assembly seats including Jubarajnagar and Town Bardowali. Sudip Roy Burman of Congress has won from Agartala seat by a margin of 3163 votes for BJP’s Ashok Sinha. Swapna Das Paul of BJP won from Surma seat.

Punjab: Sangrur Lok Sabha by-election result 2022

Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) candidate Simranjit Singh Mann has defeated Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Gurmail Singh.

Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha by-election result 2022

From Azamgarh Lok Sabha seat, Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirhua’ of BJP is leading with a margin of 2409 votes, while Dharmendra Yadav of SP is trailing.

As per available trends, BJP’s Ghanshyam Lodhi, who was trailing earlier, is leading by a margin of 16758 votes, while Samajwadi Party’s Mohd. Asim Raja is lagging behind.
