Bus strike in Maharashtra: MSRTC strike continues for the second day at 33 depots across the state. Mumbai News – Times of India

Mumbai: By strike Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (msrtcEmployees continued to work on Friday in 33 depots of a total of 250 depots in Nashik, Ahmednagar and Aurangabad divisions of the State Bus Corporation.
While the drivers and operators at these 33 depots did not operate the buses and caused heavy loss to the passengers, the bus services in other depots resumed this morning.
A BJP union, along with a few other unions, supported the strike called on the second day of the strike to demand the merger of MSRTC with the state government.
A day earlier, state bus drivers, conductors and other workers went on a sudden strike at 182 bus depots in Maharashtra, stalling the operation of around 10,000 MSRTC AC and non-AC buses and leaving scores of passengers in the lap .
State Transport Minister and MSRTC Chairman Anil Parabi Later in the evening, many employees returned to work on Friday morning after announcing a hike in dearness allowance and house rent allowance.
Sources said this also includes employees from Mumbai and Thane who did not take part in the second day’s protests on Friday.
