BTS’ J-Hope reveals his dark side in ‘More’ music video; Fans welcome ‘Rockstar Jung Ho-seok’

J-Hope dropped the music video of their new single More, which is part of their highly anticipated album Jack in the Box. It is the BTS member’s first solo album since the band announced that they would be focusing on their individual careers for a while. The music video introduced a new side of the South Korean rapper, where he channelizes his gothic rock persona. In the video, we see J-Hope aka Jung Ho-seok sporting a deep, loud sound that fuses together alternative rock hooks with hip-hop beats.

Through his recent song, the singer also tells his fans that he is equally ambitious and will not stop anytime soon. He sings, “Keep my passion, I have to go. I’m still (not enough).” With Peacock, J-Hope has shown a side of himself that we have rarely seen while at BTS. Playing with black and white colours, the singer is wearing a black jumpsuit for one part of the video and a white jumpsuit for the other. He is also seen wearing nails painted in the same two colors.

Fans are applauding the BTS rapper for his latest project. As one fan put it, “Rockstar J-Hope is officially real.” Another impressed fan commented, “His voice, he sounds great, he’s crazy for it.”

A fan reacted to the music video on Twitter and wrote, “Jung Ho-sok!! Rockstar vibe of the song!! Songs, Videos, Rhythm, everything is wild!! I’m freaking out. The hut is great!”

Jack in the Box will release on July 15. It would be the rapper’s first non-mixtape album. It also marks the Grammy-nominated band member’s debut solo album as they welcome a new chapter in their career. J-Hope released a mixtape in 2018 titled Hope World Which included songs like Daydream, Airplane and Blue Side.
