BTS’ J-Hope Begins His Military Enlistment Process, Applies For Termination of Postponement

BTS member J-Hope is all set for his mandatory military service. The K-pop singer has already started the process for the same. Recently, BIGHIT MUSIC released a statement and shared information about it. The agency noted that J-Hope has applied to end his military enlistment moratorium. The statement also mentioned that more details regarding J-Hope’s military recruitment will be shared soon.

“Hello. This is BIGIT Music. We would like to inform our fans that J-Hope has begun the military enlistment process by applying for the expiration of his enrollment deferment. We will notify you of further updates in due course . We ask for your continued love and support for J-Hope until he completes his military service and returns safely. Our company will leave no stone unturned to provide support to our artist. Thank you ,” read the statement.

J-Hope will not be the first BTS member to join mandatory military service. Currently serving in the military. He had joined last year.

Interestingly, earlier this month Jin surprised J-Hope on his birthday when she took to the comments section of his birthday post to send in wishes. “Jwehope, happy birthday,” Jin wrote. In response to Jin, J-Hope revealed that the astronaut singer made a special birthday call to him.

For the uninitiated, all South Korean males between the ages of 18 and 35 are required to serve in the country’s military for approximately 20 months. The BTS members are no different. Although he was given a temporary exemption earlier, it was confirmed in October 2022 that the globally popular singer would complete his mandatory military service.

Meanwhile, J-Hope was recently announced as the new face of fashion brand, Louis Vuitton. He is now the third member of his K-pop group to endorse a fashion house after SUGA and Jimin.
