BSF resumes public viewing of Beating the Retreat at Attari. Chandigarh News – Times of India

Atari: After a hiatus of 18 months, Border Security Force (BSF) has finally started looking at the public beating the retreat Simultaneous drill conducted by B S f Soldiers and Pakistani Rangers at the Attari-Wagah International Border. However, due to the threat of Kovid, there will be a curb on the number of visitors.
Public viewing was suspended on March 7, 2020 to prevent the spread of coronavirus as a large number of spectators from across India turned up every day to watch the drill at the border. On an average around 20,000 visitors came to the International Border to witness the ceremony, which should be on the itinerary of every tourist visiting Amritsar.
Public Relation Officer (PRO), BSF, Punjab Frontier, Kuldeep Singh | told TOI: “The ban on public viewing was lifted on September 15, but only 300 spectators will be allowed to enter the retreat venue to enforce the COVID 19 norms.”
