BSE Odisha to conduct special exam for class 10 students from July 30

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha will conduct the special examination for class 10 students from July 30. The special examination will be conducted for those students who are not satisfied with the marks allotted by the Board in the existing mode of alternative assessment. The board will conduct the class 10 special exam in offline mode from July 30 to August 5, 2021. Last month, BSE announced the HSC or class 10 board result 2021. Around 5 lakh students registered for the exam, out of which 97.89 per cent students were promoted to class 11 on the basis of their performance in class 9 annual and class 10 half-yearly. examination. The board, while announcing the results, had said that the students who are not satisfied with their marks are eligible to apply for the particular board exam 2021.

The board has said that students will not have to pay any fee for appearing in the offline mode exam. Students have to fill the form available on the official website- bseodisha.ac.in.

This year, most of the state boards across the country had canceled their class 10 board exams due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

BSE, Odisha had also canceled the exam and promoted class 10 students to the next classes on the basis of their past performance. However, despite the huge pass percentage, the board has decided to conduct the exam in offline mode for the students who are not satisfied with their marks. Several parents and students had also alleged lack of transparency in the evaluation system while preparing the Class 10 Odisha Board results.
