New Delhi: On the occasion of Diwali, stock exchanges will remain closed for two days this week, as per the list of Stock Market Holiday 2021 mentioned on the official website of BSE – bseindia.com. The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain closed on November 4 for Diwali and on November 5 on account of Diwali Balipratipada. On November 19, there will be a holiday in the stock markets on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti. As a result of the stock market holiday, the exchanges will not see any action in equity, derivatives and SLB segments these days.

what is muhurta trading?

‘Muhurta Vyapar’ is organized for one hour even when the market is closed on the day of Diwali. Muhurta trading on the day of Deepawali is considered auspicious stock market trading. Trading will take place between 6.15 pm to 7.15 pm.

Muhurta Trading Timings

The Muhurta trading session on NSE will start at 6:15 PM and will close at 7:15 PM this Diwali. The special trading window opens based on the Hindu calendar which marks the beginning of a new Samvat or Samvat 2078 – the Hindu calendar year. The new year begins with Diwali.

Stock market holidays in November 2021

There will be three market holidays in November 2021. On account of Guru Nanak Jayanti, the stock market will remain closed on November 19, except on November 4, 5.
