Hubballi: The third wave of COVID-19 is spreading rapidly in Dharwad district and 269 people were tested positive for coronavirus last week, District Minister Shankar Patil Munenenkoppa said.
In a review meeting here on Sunday, Munenkoppa said 33 patients have been kept in home isolation while 76 have already recovered. “Booster dose vaccine for frontline workers will be given from Monday at CAR Ground of Police Department. Steps are being taken to treat the patients of other districts with better facilities. The officials have been instructed to ensure that there is no problem like lack of oxygen and ventilator. We have also directed educational institutions to ensure that students wear masks and maintain social distancing in schools and colleges.”
Meanwhile, talking to reporters, former CM Jagadish Shettar said that Congress is doing politics by organizing rallies during the third wave of COVID-19. “Congress is behaving as if politics is more important than people’s health. People will teach a lesson to the party in the next assembly elections.
