Speaking after inaugurating the Channaveeregowda Anna Patil Trust at Karnataka Vidyavardhan Sangh (KVVS) here on Sunday, the CM said there has been a tendency to distort history.
“The government, to make the record straight, will publish books on historical places, which have contributed to the rich heritage of Karnataka. The CM said that the task of publishing the history and culture of Dharwad will be entrusted to KVVS, which has played an important role in integrating Kannada speaking regions into Karnataka and the freedom struggle.
Bommai said that with the establishment of the Chennai-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, Dharwad will also be developed as an important industrial hub.
