PM Modi to preside over all-party meeting today before winter session of Parliament

Congress issues a whip to MPs to participate in both houses on the first day
The Congress on Friday issued a three-line directive to its MPs to be present in both the Houses of Parliament for the winter session to be held from November 29. BJP also issued attendance instructions due to agricultural laws

Speaker Birla will meet floor leaders of parties on November 29
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will preside over a meeting with the leaders of the parties on November 29 for the smooth conduct of the winter session of Parliament. Sources gave this information on Saturday. He said the meeting is likely to be held with the Business Advisory Committee of the Lok Sabha.
Almost all opposition parties boycotted the Constitution Day celebrations organized by the Lok Sabha Secretariat in the Central Hall of Parliament on 26 November. Birla expressed “pain” over the boycott of the event by the opposition parties.
Interacting with the media after the program, Birla had said that he would sit with the opposition and the ruling party to build a consensus for the smooth functioning of the House. Sources in the Lok Sabha Secretariat said the speaker will meet leaders of the parties when the winter session of Parliament begins on Monday.
TMC is not interested in coordinating with Congress, opposition parties may meet on November 29
The Trinamool Congress on Saturday said it was not interested in coordinating with the Congress during the upcoming winter session of Parliament, a party leader said on Saturday, but said it would take up various issues of interest to the people. Will cooperate with other opposition camps. She said she would “probably not attend” the meeting of opposition parties called by Trinamool Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge on November 29.
According to a tweet by ANI, Trinamool MP Sudip Banerjee even confirmed that TMC will not be a part of the Congress meeting.
The TMC’s rebuttal to the Congress came after Kharge, the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, said that the oldest party would coordinate with all opposition camps, including the TMC, during the winter session.
