BJP spreading hatred to win UP assembly polls: Farooq Abdullah

Terming hate as a weapon to win elections in India, National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Thursday alleged that the BJP was spreading it to win the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh early next year.

Abdullah called upon the people to fight hatred to save the country along with Jammu and Kashmir and warned that the disintegration of India cannot be stopped if hatred continues to grow.

“We have to fight communalism. We have to bring down the wall of hatred being built between Hindus and Muslims. We have to end this hatred. Without it, neither India survives nor this state (J&K) If we have to save India, we have to end this hatred,” Abdullah told his party workers here.

He said that the politics of hatred has been made a weapon on the basis of which elections are being won since independence. “…I have seen this in every election since independence. Muslim leaders are taken to Muslim areas and Hindu leaders to Hindu areas,” he said.

Abdullah accused the BJP of doing politics of hatred and divisiveness to win the elections in UP. Referring to the Balakot air, he said, “The last election was also won in Balakot. The BJP government came to power. Today they are doing the same thing. Today they are again spreading hatred in Jammu to win the elections in UP.” Huh.” Strike after Pulwama terror attack in 2019.

“Has the Rekha (Line of Control) changed. Have we taken back any territory from Pakistan? The Rekha is present on the ground. They played a key role in foiling their plan there,” he said.

Stating that the National Conference (NC) will save Jammu and Kashmir from disintegration, he said that Jammu is the gateway to Kashmir and Kashmir is the gateway to Ladakh. “If they (BJP government) think they will break this state, then I want to tell them: Be careful, don’t have such a mindset. This country will not survive,” he said.

Abdullah warned the ruling party in Delhi that growing hatred could shatter India. “If this hatred continues to grow here, then I want to tell those ruling in Delhi to be careful, India will be shattered into pieces which they cannot stop. They cannot save it.”

“Until we have brotherhood, nothing will happen. If brotherhood ends here then there is no threat from outside but from inside. We have no threat from China and Pakistan. As long as we are strong here they are Can’t do anything. So strengthen this brotherhood and make this part strong.”

Terming the National Conference and its leaders as pro-Pakistan, Abdullah said the party lost 3,000 of its men, including its ministers, to the militancy, but kept the Indian flag high in Kashmir.

The NC leader also criticized the central government over the hike in the prices of essential commodities and said that the prices of petrol and diesel are skyrocketing, making the lives of common people miserable.

He alleged that the BJP has made Jammu and Kashmir a hell instead of a paradise, which it had promised to the people.
