BJP MP appeals to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar to reopen temples for darshan and worship

The process of Bihar Unlock-4 will start from tomorrow and under this process, the people of the state have been given various exemptions by the Nitish government. However, BJP representatives are not satisfied with these relaxations.

A BJP MP has written a letter to CM Nitish Kumar asking him to reconsider the guidelines. BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Thakur has written to the Chief Minister requesting him to lift the ban on darshan and worship in the temples of Bihar. He also spoke to Bihar Chief Secretary Tripurari Sharan in this regard.

He said, “The month of Shravan is near, and the general public wants that the ban on visiting and offering prayers in temples should be lifted. The temple management committees should ensure that the COVID-19 protocol is followed and the devotees are allowed One by one be allowed to go inside.” in his letter.

The BJP MP said, “The devotees should be asked to leave the premises after a quick visit. The ban on elaborate rituals in the temple premises should continue so that no mass gathering takes place.”

He said Kashi Vishwanath Temple (Varanasi), Vindhyavasini Temple (Vindhyachal), Mahakaleshwar Temple (Ujjain) and Omkareshwar Temple are some of the places of worship that have already been reopened. It is requested that in view of this prevailing sentiment, these points may be reconsidered by the Chief Minister of Bihar.

Vivek Thakur has also written in the letter that there is a constant demand for the vaccine during the recent visits to various districts under the ‘Coronavirus Vaccination Awareness Campaign’. He has mentioned in his letter that the cases of corona virus are now under control and the process of vaccination has started in the villages too but it needs to be accelerated. He also said that the campaign is on the right track.
