They sprinkled ‘gulal’ (dry colour) on each other with rose petals, covering the road leading to the party office.
“The mandate of the people in this election is a clear indication that Yogi The Adityanath government was successful in fulfilling their hopes and aspirations to a great extent. People voted for the spirit of development, good governance and security,” said Mahesh Chandra Srivastava, the party’s Kashi region president.
BJP supporters celebrated in other parts of the city as well. A group of Hindu Yuva Vahini activists in the Teliabagh area arranged a musical system playing songs in praise of Yogi Adityanath. Besides this, small groups of BJP supporters were also seen celebrating the occasion in other areas like Jaddumandi Luka area, Jai Prakash Nagar and Nirala Nagar. “We were confident of BJP’s victory,” said Ram Vilas Singh, a Jai ​​Prakash Nagar supporter.
