Bizarre! West Bengal man pierces his neck with 150-year-old Trishul, travels 65 km for operation

New Delhi: In a strange incident in Kolkata, a man reached the hospital and got a trishul pricked in his neck. To the surprise of the staff at the NRS Hospital in Kolkata, a man from West Bengal’s Nadia region was found strangled with a 150-year-old trishul. Bhaskar Ram traveled 65 kilometers with a trishul around his neck to get the operation done.

According to media reports, after an argument over trivial matters, the man stabbed his own neck with a trishul. The man reached the NRS hospital at 3 am with a 30 cm tall and 150 year old trishul, the doctor noticed that the patient was not in pain.

The patient was immediately attended to by doctors at NRS Hospital, who quickly performed emergency surgery to remove the trishul from his neck.

The family members of the patient told that the Trishul was safe in their house for about one and a half century and they used to worship it.
