A two-wheeler caught fire and a house was destroyed when a battery exploded while charging the electric bike. The incident is from Pedda Chikode village of Dubbaka mandal of Siddipet district of Telangana.
According to locals, Putta Lakshmi Narayan parked his e-bike in front of his neighbor Durgaiah’s house in the village on Tuesday night and plugged it to charge the battery. Suddenly the bike’s battery exploded and the bike engulfed in flames and the house where it was standing caught fire. According to eyewitnesses, no casualties were reported in the accident.
It is being told that the accident happened due to unplugging the e-bike from the electric power supply after the battery was fully charged. This is the first incident that has happened in Telangana where a house was also destroyed by the explosion of a battery in an e-bike.
