Bihar: Crores of rupees came in the bank account of 2 students

Two students in Bihar got the biggest surprise of their lives when they got a bank message saying that crores of rupees had been deposited in their accounts. The incident is from Katihar district, where two class VI students Ashish Kumar and Gurucharan Vishwas got Rs 6,20,11,100 and Rs 90,52,21,223 respectively in their bank accounts on September 15. Both the children are residents of Pastia village of Baghaura Panchayat. His bank account is in Uttar Bihar Gramin Bank.

Katihar District Magistrate Udayan Mishra also confirmed that the children have received a hefty amount.

“A huge amount was deposited in the accounts of the two children. The amount can be seen in the mini statement. Senior officials of the bank are being informed,” Mishra said.

“As soon as we came to know about money being deposited in the accounts of the two children, we froze the accounts and stopped withdrawals. When the parents of the children were questioned, they too were asked to disclose the source of the funds. Now, we are probing the matter to find out who is the sender,” said Uttar Bihar Gramin Bank LDM MK Madhukar.

Earlier, a person named Ranjit Das of Khagaria district of Bihar had also received five and a half lakh rupees in his Uttar Bihar Gramin Bank account.

Das denied returning the money to the bank, claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised each citizen Rs 15 lakh in their bank accounts. He said that he has received its first installment.

Das further said that he had spent the money by withdrawing the money from the account. Now he has no money. When he showed his inability to return the amount, the bank officials filed an FIR against Das and he was arrested by the Khagaria police. Now he is in jail.
