A boy in Bihar raped his minor cousin for over a month in his rented apartment in Haryana’s Ambala. The incident came to light when the girl along with her family lodged a complaint with the Bettiah police in Bihar on Tuesday evening.
Bihar Police has confirmed the incident. “We have received a complaint from the parents of a minor that their daughter was raped by her cousin for more than a month in Ambala and uploaded her pictures in objectionable position on the internet.”
According to the minor’s mother, she had gone to Lucknow for the treatment of her son. “I had invited my sister’s son Arjun Kumar to stay with my two other children in Bhagalpur. After returning from Lucknow after a month, we could not find our minor daughter. We started a search to find him.”
“During our search, we came to know that she was in Ambala with her cousin. One day he called us and narrated his ordeal. My daughter told me over phone that my sister’s son tricked her and took her to Ambala and raped her on several occasions,” said the minor’s mother.
The minor’s mother further said that after knowing about the heinous crime, she called her sister and informed about the incident. The minor’s mother said, “Then my sister’s son apologized and assured us that such an incident would not happen again.”
The minor’s mother further said, ‘One day he called my daughter and threatened her with dire consequences. When my daughter did not pay heed to her illegitimate demands, she uploaded pictures of her in an objectionable position on the internet.
A senior police officer posted at Bettiah district police headquarters said, “We have registered an FIR against the minor’s cousin under various Indian Penal Code (IPC) and POCSO Act sections. A case of kidnapping has also been registered against him.”
