According to PTI, Jaiswal made the remarks at the concluding ceremony of the party’s two-day state executive meeting in north Bihar’s Darbhanga district.

“We have sought to stamp out rumors about such restructuring among our party cadre. Of course, the CM has a tendency to oscillate like a pendulum. But we are not going to be cheated by them again”, the BJP leader reportedly said as Nitish Kumar became extremely unpopular in the state.

Jaiswal reportedly said, “We will win the next assembly elections and set the tone for the Lok Sabha elections next year, in which we have set ourselves a target of more than 35 out of 40 seats in the state.”

The state BJP chief also called Kumar a “habitual betrayer” and accused him of “misusing the trust reposed in him by Prime Minister Narendra Modi”.

The BJP lost power in Bihar when Kumar walked out of the alliance with the saffron party for the second time and forged a new alliance with the RJD and the Congress. Kumar justified his move by accusing the BJP of trying to split his own party with the help of his former close ally RCP Singh. JDU also accused the BJP of trying to rig the assembly elections.
