Manjinder Sirsa joining BJP.

Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) chief Manjinder Singh Sirsa suddenly resigned. Sirsa has now joined BJP. In Delhi, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, National General Secretary Dushyant Gautam and other big leaders included him in the BJP. Shekhawat said that the arrival of Sirsa will give a big advantage to the BJP in the Punjab elections.

Sirsa’s sudden resignation has dealt a big blow to Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) in Punjab. Sirsa is considered a flamboyant spokesperson. His leaving the Akali Dal and joining the BJP may create problems for the Akali Dal in Punjab.

Personal reason given behind resignation
Manjinder Sirsa while addressing all the members and General Secretary of DSGMC in his resignation said that he is resigning from the post of President due to personal reasons. After this Sirsa shared the copy of his resignation letter on his Twitter handle. Sirsa said that he would like to inform all the members, office bearers and others working with him that he has resigned as the chairman of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee. He will no longer contest the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee elections in future, but he will continue to serve his community, nation and humanity as before.

stir in Akali Dal
The resignation of Manjinder Singh Sirsa has stirred up the Shiromani Akali Dal. Elections are on the head in Punjab and at such a time, the sudden resignation of the senior Akali leader from the post of DSGMC President is not going to bother anyone.

Electoral defeat became the reason for resignation
The infighting in the DSGMC elections in the past is also believed to be the reason behind the resignation. Shiromani Akali Dal had got a landslide victory in the recently held elections but Manjinder Singh Sirsa, who was the face of the post of president, had to face defeat. Of course, Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal had made Sirsa the head again despite the defeat, but inside he was running very disappointed.
