Popular YouTuber Bhuvan Bam has issued an apology after netizens expressed anger and disappointment for making distasteful remarks about ‘Pahadi’ women in his latest video.
On Friday, the YouTuber mentioned on Twitter that he had no intention of hurting anyone. He further apologized and mentioned that the ‘Pahadi’ female reference part has been edited out of his video. “I know a part of my video has hurt some people. I’ve edited it to remove that part. Those who know me know that I have great respect for women. I had no intention of hurting anyone. Heartfelt apologies to all those whose sentiments have been disregarded,” he tweeted.

Bhuvan Bam’s apology comes after the National Commission for Women (NCW) took cognizance of the matter and urged the Delhi Police to register an FIR against the YouTuber. “@NCWIndia has taken cognizance. Speaker @sharmarekha has written to @CPDelhi to register FIR and take strict action in the matter. NCW has also written to Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & IT to take appropriate action against the YouTube channel for violating the dignity of women,” NCW had tweeted on Thursday.
Earlier, several social media users had also expressed their disappointment over Bhuvan Bam’s comments in the video. One of the netizens wrote, “This isn’t humor – it’s vulgar anti-female garbage that depicts women and especially hill women.” Another person tweeted, “Shame, Bhuvan Bam. If you have any shame left, please remove this video and apologize for your dirty words.”
For those unaware, Bhuvan Bam is a popular YouTuber with over 25 million subscribers on the platform. He rose to fame with his Bibi Ki Vines. Last year, the YouTuber released another show called Dhindora. It revolves around the everyday life of Bhuvan and his family. The show received immense love from the audience.
