Bengaluru Man Dragged By Cabbie, Rammed To Death

A collision between a car and a cab on the streets of Bengaluru turned into an unfortunate incident of hit and run. A heated argument followed the collision near Maramma temple circle in Malleswaram on January 15.

The CCTV footage of the security camera circulated on Tuesday after a week that shows the horrendous accident. The verbal spat between the car owner and the cabbie, identified as Ashwath and Muneer respectively ended at the cost of Ashwath’s life.

Ashwath tried stopping the cabbie for the cause for which he got out of his car. When he realized that Muneer was not listening, he climbed on the bonnet of the cab to stop it. Little did Ashwath know that it would change everything for him. Muneer in response seemingly tried fleeing from the spot with acceleration due to which the car owner got dragged for around 400 metres and eventually collided with a pole.

As locals saw the incident and approached to intervene, the cab driver slammed the brakes in order to escape causing Ashwath to fall off.

Cases of hit-and-run have become quite prevalent nowadays in different parts of India. A month ago an SI was crushed by a car in Bihar while trying to stop it on a bridge for it carried alcohol.
