He alleged that many people have been killed so far, they were killed by TMC goons. It is very difficult to conduct free and fair elections under the state government. This is possible only when President’s rule is imposed in the state or Article 355 is used.

TMC accused the opposition

Meanwhile, the ruling TMC accused the opposition parties of instigating the violence and criticized the central forces for their failure to protect voters. TMC said in a statement that since the announcement of panchayat elections on June 8, 27 people have been killed and 17 of them are from Trinamool, which is more than 60 per cent of the total deaths.
