‘Bengal does not beg anyone’, Mamata Banerjee’s message from Dakshineswar

After returning to Kolkata, Mamta Banerjee attended a function at the Dakshineswar temple. He inaugurated the Light and Sound Show there. Speaking from the program, the Chief Minister said, “A skywalk worth Rs 300 crore is being built in Kalighat like Dakshineshwar. A lot of work has been done on religion in whole Bengal. KMDA will give another Rs 10 crore to complete the construction of guest house at Dakshineswar. Work. Bengal does not beg anyone.” Mamata also launched a museum and project on Thursday after visiting the Dakshineswar temple and offering prayers. He also published a book containing the history and pictures of Dakshineswar.

On the state of unrest created across the state over the Prophet’s remark controversy, Mamata said, “Religion should not be politicised. Common people don’t play with religion. Some political leaders do such things. Some greedy leaders do.” They create unrest. I don’t offer Namaz, I go to Iftar. If I go to Durga Puja, Jain temple, no one asks questions. Rs 1 crore has been provided for Jain temple.”

Dakshineswar temple

Dakshineswar Temple on the banks of the Ganges built by Rani Rashmoni. Apart from Sri Ramakrishna, Maa Sharda and Swami Vivekananda, the names of many scholars are associated with the Kali temple of Dakshineswar. Light and sound exhibition on the history of that temple is about to start. The Chief Minister had long ago planned to present the history of Dakshineswar to the common people through a light and sound show. Light and sound was launched by the Chief Minister on Thursday on the initiative of KMDA.

The museum will be inaugurated at Mandir Chowk on the initiative of KMDA. In this collection, there will be a dhoti of Shri Ramakrishnadev, the sword of Bhavatarini Mata, the white stone throne of Queen Rashmoni.
