In Uttar Pradesh, the political tussle between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Samajwadi Party (SP) is going to a new level.

From blaming each other for whatever is not right in the state, now both the parties are taking a jibe at each other over their respective election symbols.

While Akhilesh Yadav has advised the BJP to change its political symbol to ‘Bulldozer’, the BJP set it on fire by asking the SP to take ‘AK-47’ as its symbol.

The SP chief was repeatedly referring to the use of bulldozers in demolishing some houses of Ayodhya residents.

He also asked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to get his eyes checked. He was replying to the Chief Minister’s statement that Akhilesh lacks foresight.

The Yogi Adityanath government is known to have demolished the houses of criminals and mafia, claiming that it was illegal property.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya, while talking to reporters in Rae Bareli on Tuesday, said that it would be appropriate if the Samajwadi Party changes its election symbol to ‘AK-47’.

He was apparently referring to the inclusion of Mukhtar Ansari’s brother Sibgatullah Ansari in the Samajwadi Party. It is believed that Mukhtar Ansari will also join the SP soon.
