As per the revised monetary policies, first-class players, who used to get Rs 15,000 earlier, will now get Rs 30,000, while former Test players getting Rs 37,500 will now get Rs 60,000 and those getting Rs 50,000 pension will get Rs 70,000. Monetary amendments have been made not only for the division of men, but also for the division of women. International women players, who got Rs 30,000, will get Rs 52,500 from now on. The new rules further state that first-class cricketers who retired before 2003 and got Rs 22,500 will now get Rs 45,000.

Jay Shah said in a tweet, “I am happy to announce the increase in the monthly pension of former cricketers (men and women) and match officials. Around 900 employees will avail this benefit and about 75% personnel will benefit ” 100% increase”. Players remain the lifeline and as a board, it is our duty to be with them once and for all. Lauding the umpire’s contribution to the game, Ganguly said, “Umpires have been unsung heroes and BCCI really values ​​their contribution.” On the salary hike, Board Treasurer Arun Singh Dhumal said that BCCI stands tall because of the contribution of its former cricketers and umpires.
