Babul Supriyo | Shatrughan Sinha: Big surprise at the ground level in the by-elections! Standing Babul Supriya, Asansol but another big name

#Kolkata: As soon as the assembly elections in five states are over, the drums of elections in West Bengal have been raised again. The results of the elections will be declared on April 16 and then a big decision will be taken at the ground level. Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee tweeted on Sunday that the party’s candidates for the Asansol Lok Sabha bypoll are Shatrughan Sinha and Babul Supriyo in the Ballygunge assembly bypoll. Announcing the names of both of them by tweeting, Mamta Banerjee wrote, ‘Joy Hind, Joy Bangla, Joy Maa-Mati-Manush.

Babul Supriya was a BJP MP from Asansol. But he resigned from the post of MP and joined the grassroots level. The result of this is that the by-election is being held on that seat, while there are no MLAs in the Ballygunge assembly constituency after the death of Subrata Mukherjee. When he left the BJP and came to the grassroots level, Babul said, “He wants to play in the first eleven. But this is not going to happen in BJP. Eventually this possibility became stronger.

At the same time, there is also curiosity in the political circles whether the Asansol Lok Sabha constituency will be able to take over the BJP after its massive victory at the ground level in the assembly elections and subsequent by-elections. In such a situation, Trinamool gave a big surprise by fielding Shatrughan Sinha in Asansol. On the other hand, it is clear that this time also Babylon will be given the responsibility.
