Attack Box Office Day 2: John Abraham starrer fails to pick up pace, collects around Rs. 3 crore

John Abraham’s Attack has already arrived in theatres. The film has given India its first super soldier, who is capable of taking down an entire army on his own. However, the audience does not seem to accept this super soldier. At least that’s what the figures are showing.

The attack at the box office on the first day was slow and on Saturday also it did not gain any momentum. In fact, despite Saturday being a partial holiday at most places, the collection has remained almost the same. If trade insider Sumit Kadel is to be believed, the film has collected around Rs. 3.25 crores, and with Rs. 3 crores on the first day, the total collection is now Rs 6.25 crores.

The numbers are quite low, and if it doesn’t pick up any momentum, it will be a box-office flop. This will also reduce the chances of a sequel, which was promised at the end of Attack. It was shown in the film that a part 2 will be made soon, where an army of super soldiers will be raised in place of a super soldier to protect the country.

Attack has been badly hit by SS Rajamouli’s RRR – which has taken the box office by storm not only pan India but also across the globe. The business of the film was excellent on the second Saturday and its Hindi version earned crores of rupees. 18 crores. The total collection of Hindi Dubbed of RRR stands at a staggering Rs. 164.09 crores. It is on the upside and the trade will only increase on Sundays.

John had created quite a stir during the press conference of the attack in New Delhi. The actor had addressed a journalist as ‘Uncle’ and said, “More than being physically fit, I am trying to be mentally fit to answer some crazy questions because people are so dumb. Sorry sir, aap dimaag chhod kar aa gaye (You left your mind at home). I apologize to you. On behalf of everyone, I will apologize to you, no problem, you will do better next time.
