At Vmc Fete, Teachers Raise Own Demands | Vadodara News – Times of India

VADODARA: Events organized in the city to felicitate teachers also provided them the opportunity to raise their demands and concerns. Two such events were held in the city on Monday to mark Teachers’ Day.
At the event organized to give awards to the best teachers employed in Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) schools, members of the teachers’ union voiced their long-pending demands. These included grade pay, implementing the old pension system and not giving duties other than teaching to teachers.
Nagar Prathmik Shikshak Sangh president Pinakin Patel raised some long-pending demands during his speech on the occasion. “The demands have been pending for long. I mentioned them during my speech,” he said. He added that even Krunal Suthar from another teachers’ union raised the issue at the event.
